PROLOGUE:

Where everything realy starts

Entered this world thru the vortex of thought, it pulled in and apart, rearranging the very building blocks of persona, slicing and forming anew

(Image may be subject to copyright. Read the note at the end of this page.).
"One shall be two," high pitched voice echoed. "Same but different! Both shall suffer the lack of other, none shall be truly aware of it!".  A loud bang and crack and tear and clash... "Implants of nonexistent past to bring the two apart..." the voice echoed again. "It shall be real for the two, they shall be what they will be, they shall never know of the real truth, seeking what they lack..." the voice died out and vortex vanished...

LADY DUSK :

Chapter 1
:  AWARENESS

(Image may be subject to copyright. Read the note at the end of this page.).
Suddenly she was there, with headache that formed after exiting the vortex, in a strange room full of paper in various sizes, shelfs filled with ruffled papers, few saved in the basket, a table with one of the longest papers, a map and such things... Some people around, to involved into there thinking or reading and sleeping. She looked around, puzzled for a minute, thinking of how she got here, where she is. A chill is what she felt as wind sneaked inside touching her naked skin. Naked, naked kneeling on some cloths. "For the sake of what is decent," screamed in her mind as she grabbed the dress and pulled it on. Luckily, regardless of loud "BOOM" as she appeared, none had noticed her, none has seen her. Saved by the ignorance!

"Where am I," she asked herself as if she will magically learn. She slowly opened her lips and just as she was about to ask, pain, such great pain she felt that she frowned, kneeled back on the floor. A banging in the mind, a sudden rush of memory, memory she thought it is hers, of things that supposed to happen in some strange world, a flow of uncontrollable river carrying hatred, madness into her. She tried to stop it, she couldn't, her mind screaming in agony, in self-pity until big flaming word appeared in her mind, burning her heart, her soul, REVENGE!

As fury she stepped out of Paper Cabin, fought the Shades and stumbled upon Marble Dale Park, sniffing the air, searching for the one who she thought harmed her in past, the one who she thinks is her sister, Dawn.

Some gazed at her as the fire engulfed her mind, as her darkness shrouded the paths. She screamed her desire to destroy the one she seeks, to break her as she thought she was broken.

REVENGE! REVENGE! REVENGE!

One dared to send a scroll after her furiousness, just one. Yoshi. She told him, she is the bringer of darkness, destroyer of hope while laughing maniacally. She did not think, she uttered, she walked in her madness, rage bursting in her bosom. He told her of hope and she resisted, she did not want to hear, she did not want to understand and she didn't. And yet... "SHWISSS" is what was herd inside as one of many iron strings has snapped as poisonous snake and slashed at her thoughts, cutting deep.

She paused, she had to think,  she had to rest as her thoughts were bleeding a river of red.

Chapter 2 : MADNESS

Madness were her dreams as rage was boiling in her veins. She opened her eyes and was blinded by everlasting sun up on the sky. LIGHT, LIGHT, LIGHT, ... Was pounding on her brain like heavy smiths hammer trying to flatten every cell. PREVAIL, PREVAIL, PREVAIL, ... Did followed slicing of red-hot blade. Damned sun-rays were whipping at pale skin as she got up shaking away what tormented her spirit, disregarding it as a broken comb. She walked to Paper Cabin, climbed to its roof, gazed into distance, alone and crazy.

(at Paper Cabin Roof-top)

She laughed as all the madness escaped its inner asylum, cut deep long wound on her thigh letting the pain of false memory to flow out with every drop of blood. "This is not right, this is NOT RIGHT," echoed in her mind as she left and fought battles inside and out while the wound ached as her thoughts pulsated.

Her dark stumbled upon others dark. He seemed knowledgeable, disciplined, distant. Her madness did not scared him or he did not show, Dusk did not know. She choose him, Lazarus, for her mentor and he started to teach her.

Chapter 3 : AWAKENING

Dusk planed and planed she did. She stalked in the bushes, waiting with new found patience, sniffing the air in search of flowery fragrance. There it was, she caught the faint trail. REVENGE! The word once again screamed in her as she swiftly followed the trail to Fortune's Well where she could feel Dawn's presence. She searched the area.
FAILED! Cold, sharp, icy letter stabbed into her as she moved away. "It was so close, so close... Failed..."

(at Path of Loneliness)
(Image may be subject to copyright. Read the note at the end of this page.).

Time has passed, time of silent thought. She calmed, REVENGE became thinner and thinner, less hot, less burning, until finally she left a message for Dawn, calling her for a meeting with desire to ask and be answered.

Dawn heard the summon of Dusk and they meet up on Paper Cabin's Roof, they spoke. Dusk asked and was answered. DOUBT in orange penetrated her soul. "Dawn was not to be blamed, she is not aware, she doesn't know,..." Dusk thought as she declared truce and stopped the hunt.

Revenge became just a memory covered with dust in the attic as FOOLED echoed in yellow and she lost reason to exist. Yet another "SHWISSS" slapped at her cheek as iron string inside snapped.

Chapter 4 : HOPE

Dusk felt numb as thought lost its color. Hatred and revenge were to her what wax and wick are to candle-fire. Without purpose, without path, without destination she was lost, shivering in cold cage of emptiness as she fall asleep in one of the tents on Marble Dale Park.

A sudden warmth penetrated her dreams of frozen and painted spring rain. She stirred and opened one eye as she did not have the strength to fully awake. He was there, laying beside her, peaceful and careless to sight. Ice-cold voice growled "KILL", but softer followed  with "SLEEP" and dragged her back into dreams

They spent second together and second became minutes and minutes hours. Evil Yoshi was to her what Aprils rain is for dried stream.

(at Gate of Ages)

(Image may be subject to copyright. Read the note at the end of this page.).

He penetrated the cold steel of the prison she made for herself after losing her purpose, pulled her out from it, giving air to her lungs, feeling to her skin, sight to her eyes when she needed those to be given to her. His presence, his words, his touch awaken her from deep slumber and as she gazed around within this newly-founded self she felt hope entangling her thoughts. Countless paths opened before her, she knew there is more to world, to herself. She felt alive as before but this time with different reason.

Dusk began to walk again.

Chapter 5 : SENTINELS

There they were, Howling Gates that lead to Necrovion. Only now she became fully aware of the pull that was present all along. "This is where my path leads," she thought: "This is where I must be, where I want to be." Necrovion, the land of Shades, of darkness... She has choosen.

Days passed and Dusk mind became stronger. Peace resigned her throne and gave crown to Jester, Lazarus became leader of Sentinels. The change for Necrovion, but Dusk did not dabble into details. Lazarus spoke to her and she sworn her life to the land, she became one of Sentinels.

A meeting occurred at the House of Tainted Times and she listened carefully to what was uttered making notes for future use. She was learning of things she did not know before.

She walked thru the land absorbing it inside and land was absorbing her. Her mind become more focused, thoughts more clear, her soul stronger. Necrovion touched her, she exited changed.

The power in her, of which she was not aware earlier, started to appear as she raised her body, as her eyes showed deeper red glow, as darkness around her thickened at her will while drifting slowly, following those of Sentinels who decided to visit, at that time dead, King Jester at Gazebo of Chaos.

There she lingered, listened, spoke of some time before returning to the surface.

Chapter 6 : VOICES

As time passed whispers appear in her mind, stirring her essence. A warning of a sort? She walked, she fought, she learned, pushing them aside, not wanting to hear until they broke in loud shout, scratching and pounding at her skull wanting to break free.

She had to concentrate, she had to focus upon self, she had to shout her own voice. She did so, she felt it coming like the wave approaches shore. Her lips stretched into smile as her body became stiff in utter composion, awaiting...

She became the wave that smashed into rocks, shattering itself into countless drops, she spring into air, dissolving her matter into concept, spreading her dark particles across the sky at MDA Main Gates as pain sliced every cell into bits and bits into smaller bits. The pain stopped and she felt free, free of everything, free of pain, of emotion, of thought. "Not yet," a voice whispered... "You are not ready..."

(at MDA Main Gates)

(Image may be subject to copyright. Read the note at the end of this page.).

But as it came as a tide, so it left, even greater pain returned as she was forming back into herself, as she smashed to the ground as a comet smashing from the sky. She lost consciousness, laying there on cold ground, until something stirred inside and she got back on her feet, feeling battered. Dusk made few insecure steps along the road and with each step the power in her returned.

She found shelter in the dark passages of Underworld, pressing her back against moist wall, slipping in and out and in again, breathing the rooten fragnance of decay, she faltered as voice whispered again, luring her to let it all go, to dissolve into nothingness and she felt her skin become numb, her own voice silent as she was letting it go... She felt colder and colder. Another voice appeared, urging her to stay, but she did not hear, she did not want to understand, slowly she was becoming nothingness...

But then warmth started to return, feeling to the skin and her own voice inside gained back the sound, becoming stronger and stronger, until shouting at those who did not belong, exiling them out, pushing them down, taking their sound away and adding to her own. The voices backed away, shivering, defeated this time and she wake from the troublesome nightmare, just to find herself in Evil Yoshis arms, bringing her out once again. "How long have you been here," she asked. "Not long enough," he replied.

She was saved... this time, but this is not the end.

Chapter 7 : DETERMINATION

She slept in Indexed Room of Memories, covered in various scrolls in which she was seeking answers, dreaming of things that have happened. She felt movement and wake abruptly, pulling scroll from her and storing them to its place. She went with finger thru her long, dark, silky hair as she has noticed a change. The Necklace! It was missing!

Where the sign of Sentinels once adorned her neck, it was nothing, just bare, soft skin. "No, it can not be...," as fingers did not touch what they should. She still felt The Skull there even if there was none. She found the mirror and looked. "It is not there... But... I still feel it...," echoed in her mind.

Dusk left Archives and search for others of Necrovion and found that none wear the sign. She remembered Peace with whom she talked just few days ago at Wind's Sanctuary about how Sentinel woman should be, of principles and other. She wrote to her, hoping she might know what has happened and the answer sounded: "By Kings Decree".

She raised head high, removed a curl from her eye and walked proud and strong towards Howling Gates to gaze into the land to which her loyalty belonged, to which her life belong, to which she belonged. "They can take away the skull, but that doesn't change my will," she said to herself as she raised herself up onto arch gazing in, protecting with her will that what is within.

(at Howling Gates)

But sadness lingered in her bosom as she was felt denied. She sat down by the gates as Shantu and Sephirah Caelum came, hiding that that she did not known as the second voiced questions. "What do YOU think that happened to Sentinels? Do YOU think that we do not belong? Do YOU think that we would betray and leave?" she countered the questions, thickening the darkness around, her eyes glowing red with determination. Sephirah backed as Dusks inner-strength shined with dark glow.

Dusk was determined to never again leave the gates, to stay there and become part of it as the time would turn her to dust and she thought of her bleak future. As such Peace found her there, removing dark curls from Dusks cheek, speaking softly to her, adding to her own conviction and Dusk was peaceful.

Hours passed but Dusk did not stray from the goal she sat for herself, she stayed by the gates as King Jester gifted his time to her, taking her inside Necrovion. She listened and learned and thought. As the audience came to the end, she was allowed to stay in Necrovion and she walked tranquil until sleep caught her.

Hours passed, Lazarus contacted her and thought her more. Once again she sworn her service, giving all of herself to the land for all eternity.

She wears the mark of a Sentinel again.

Chapter 8 : SOLITUDE

Time runs without stopping, not minding for those who walk in it, it passes constructing past, present and future, changing things with its flow. And time has passed as Dusk fought again and thought her Creatures to be disciplined, strong. And time has passed, as she sacrificed some of them in order to gain. And time has passed some more...

She felt something is about to happen, but could not define what. A chill touched her bones as she trained at Marble Dale Park. Lazarus approached and spoke to her: "This will be the last time you will see me. I will surrender my soul to Necrovion for all of Eternity." She nodded, understanding, uttered words of courtesy to her Master and left all other thoughts hang in the air, never being voiced. In slow motion every single moment of shared past flashed behind her eyes, as she hoped that he heard beyond the sound. "I hope you will be strong as I would hope you will. Goodbye, and be well," were the last words Lazarus spoke to her. He kissed her forehead, gave her his Rotten Finger and left. Dusk chanted a blessing into the silence.

She was on her own now, to learn by herself or to find a new teacher. It was her decision, a decision she would not do lightly.

(at Island of Seclusion)

She walked here and there, discovering this and that. She thought of Evil Yoshi as she sat to rst her bones, she thought of his smile, his voice, his smell, his touch. She dashed her eyelashes at hot sun not remembering when was lastly when she set her eyes upon him. She felt alone, more alone than ever as this time,... this time she was aware of her solitude. She embraced it and taken it within, locking it away from the sight and turning a new leaf to write on. It is time of new hour, of new day.

Time touches and changes everything.

Chapter 9 : STUDYING

(in procces) Dusk wraps her mind into research and study, letting memory of things that don't connect with her work to fade away into abbeys of forgetting. She willingly and wanting casts aside all that that she wants, leting herself to become cold as solid hydrogen , strong as diamond, sharp as a single atom tip formed by chemically assisted spatially controlled field evaporation .(in procces)

In A Dark Time
by Theodore Roethke
In a dark time, the eye begins to see,
I meet my shadow in the deepening shade;
I hear my echo in the echoing wood--
A lord of nature weeping to a tree,
I live between the heron and the wren,
Beasts of the hill and serpents of the den.

What's madness but nobility of soul
At odds with circumstance? The day's on fire!
I know the purity of pure despair,
My shadow pinned against a sweating wall,
That place among the rocks--is it a cave,
Or winding path? The edge is what I have.

A steady storm of correspondences!
A night flowing with birds, a ragged moon,
And in broad day the midnight come again!
A man goes far to find out what he is--
Death of the self in a long, tearless night,
All natural shapes blazing unnatural light.

Dark, dark my light, and darker my desire.
My soul, like some heat-maddened summer fly,
Keeps buzzing at the sill. Which I is I?
A fallen man, I climb out of my fear.
The mind enters itself, and God the mind,
And one is One, free in the tearing wind.
